Jake D’Angelo is a proud America First candidate. As a lifelong resident of the Town of Carmel, he has been a constant presence in our community for years.

Jake has built his life in Putnam, living the middle-class American dream. He works as a project superintendent at a large construction firm and previously managed his family owned residential construction business, garnering important professional experience managing both people and large scale projects, making sure work was done on time, under budget, and correctly, all the while, not being afraid to get his hands dirty.

Actively involved in local politics, he serves on both the Putnam County and Carmel Republican Committees and chairs the Carmel Republican Committee’s School Board Candidate Selection subcommittee. Recognized as a Rising Star by the New York State Young Republicans, he is also a proud member of the Putnam County Firearm Owners Association (PCFOA). In addition to his professional and political involvement, Jake volunteers as a Little League coach and community mentor, demonstrating his passion for giving back to the next generation.

Jake’s Priorities:

- Open up county government with real transparency: Jake will make sure the live-streaming of all legislative meetings is codified into a law as a mandatory function of government.

- Oppose illegal immigrant relocation to Putnam: Jake will make sure Putnam County never becomes an illegal immigrant sanctuary county.

- Root out wasteful spending: Too much of our tax dollars are wasted on frivolous programming that bears no impact on the lives of residents. Jake will make sure every dollar spent is absolutely necessary to the core function of county government.

- Cut property taxes: Putnam County residents pay some of the highest property taxes in the nation. Jake will make sure your county tax bill is as low as possible.

- Stop the dysfunction in the Legislature: The Putnam County Legislature has been operating as a circus for the past two plus years. Jake will make sure the people’s business is conducted in a conservative, open and respectful manner.

- Protect our constitutional rights: Jake will wholeheartedly defend our freedom of speech, right to bear arms, and all of our God-given rights enshrined in the US Constitution.

- Bring fresh, bold, honest leadership to Putnam County: Our current county legislator, Greg Ellner, has been an embarrassing liability to our community since being elected. He’s threatened to sue constituents for daring to question his record, he voted to give politicians pay raises after staging a stunt to make it look like he was against them, and blocked efforts to have residents access and participate in legislative meetings.
